Having to repeat these areas doesn’t feel like an exercise in hardcore gaming, it’s just a chore. The world is a huge collection of screens and environments, each with specific threats and obstacles. The goal of the game is to explore the world, and not expand your capabilities by finding goodies, as in the usual metroidvania. These things that I mentioned take the game to a higher level than just a platformer this is an experience.
